About Sherwood’s Gallery
History of Sherwoods Gallery, by Ron Crouch and S. P. McCall
We believe that art plays an important role in our lives and we are committed to helping those who enjoy and want to preserve its creation.
At Sherwoods Gallery, we have been serving the discerning artist and collector since 1981. Sherwood P. McCall III, President, has been serving the art industry as a professional art dealer with a high quality picture framing department specializing in archival framing since 1967. We have evolved as procurers of fine art and meticulous preservers of fine oils, watercolors, and multi-medium art collected throughout the world. Our pursuit is to provide artists with the opportunity to sell their art in a professional manner with a pleasing and informative presentation.
At Sherwoods Gallery you will discover acclaimed artists widely celebrated in Texas, the United States, and around the world. Browse through our online gallery where you will discover Landscape art, Figurative art, Still Life art, Seascape art, Texas Bluebonnet art, Sculpture art, Watercolor art, Western art and Wildlife art. Here you will find the art listed by subject as well as the artists' name with their complete works categorized separately for your convenience.
SherwoodsGallery.com is a venue where presentations can be viewed by title, medium and dimensions. Biographies of our artists can be read on the "Our Artists" page. Sherwoods couples website viewing with the convenience of a retail gallery located in Houston, Texas near the city's famous Galleria district.
Sherwood's interests in the preservation of art led to the writing of the book, "The Art of Picture Framing", by Sherwood and Connie McCall, published by Bobbs-Merrill Co., Inc., Indianapolis and New York City, 1981.
